About Elementary Religious EducationAt our children’s baptism, we made a commitment to raise our children in the Catholic faith and we made a commitment as a community to help the youth in our Church to also be raised in the Catholic faith. Parents are the primary educators for their children. However, ERE offers a number of different avenues to help the parents in raising their children in the faith through the participation of religious education class, sacramental preparation, catechist training, and retreats. Elementary Religious Education offers religious education classes on Sunday from 9:00am to 10:00am for preschool 4 year old, and kindergarten, grades first through fifth grade meet from 10:10am to 11:20am on Sunday mornings. ERE also offers classes on Monday evenings from 4:30pm to 5:40pm for kindergarten through fifth grade. Elementary Religious Education also prepares the students in second grade for the sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist.
