Electronic Waste Recycling Day

April 20,2013: 9:00am to 11:00am, Donovan Center Parking Lot on the grounds of Our Lady of Grace Church

Drive-Thru Electronic Waste and Scrap Metal Collection benefiting Wings for West Africa and RecycleForce; Bring your outdated, broken, unwanted electronics which will be unloaded for you and recycled properly, keeping these items out of our landfills.

Any electronic item "with a cord" will be accepted. Examples include: TV's, computers, small appliances, gaming systems, cell phones, telephone systems, fax machines, scanners, copiers and printers. Scrap metal and metal siding also accepted. No items containing freon, please.

To offset the cost to properly dispose of lead in TVs and Monitors, Recycleforce requests a small donation:

o $5 for monitors and TV's under 27"

o $10 for TV's over 27"

RecycleForce of Indianapolis has a two-fold mission of helping our environment through the collection of electronic waste and supporting at-risk workers in Central Indiana by providing jobs. Please see http://www.recycleforce.org for more information.

Wings for West Africa provides computers and technology support to students and teachers in rural West Africa. Please see http://www.wafwings.org for more information.

Our Mission

The goal of the Social Ministries Council (SMC) is to provide a coordinated framework for the various social ministries active in Our Lady of Grace Parish. It is concerned with providing a working method for advocating and educating the parish for charity, service and justice as well as acting in a consultative role to the Pastor and parish staff in these matters. It serves as an umbrella organization for the social outreach programs and organizations within the parish, allowing synergistic interaction and periodic update.
