The Catholic Church, by way of Jesus Christ, teaches us to respect the sacredness and dignity of all human life. This consistent ethic of life comes from Sacred Scripture and Tradition, and applies to a host of modern topics. Our Church opposes capital punishment, euthanasia, and contraception. We promote living wages & rights for workers, access to healthcare for all people, and an end to violence & war. These are all issues that concern the dignity of human life.
We also are exceptionally dedicated to ending abortion, a moral evil that ends the life of a child. Rather than being an element of women's health, abortion is deeply damaging to women and men.
The flags that we place on our campus represent the
number of abortions (and thus lives being lost) each day in America. Our aim is not to condemn the women who make this devastating choice, but to acknowledge that, during a pregnancy, there are two people to love and dignify.
Below, we offer resources to learn more about life issues in the church and services for pregnant women and families who may be experiencing hardship or are in need.
