We bless animals under the patronage of Saint Francis, the patron Saint of Ecology. St Francis [who was a deacon by the way] preached to a flock of birds and negotiated a peace with a town and a wolf who was terrifying the town. He developed the Nativity scene we use today, except he used real animals! Any pet is welcome to be blessed: dogs, cats, hamsters and other rodents, ferrets, birds, and anything that fits in a livestock trailer. Snakes are welcome, but will be blessed from a distance. We will see you and your pets at 3pm.
