Little Flowers Girls’ Club® is a Catholic club for girls ages 5 and up that teaches virtues through scripture, saints’ biographies, and the Catechism of the Catholic Church. Like a scouting program, girls earn badges for the virtues they have practiced, and life skills they have learned. But unlike most scouting organizations, the girls learn and earn their badges through a distinctly Catholic lens.
Our Lady of Grace Little Flowers Girls’ Club is for girls 5 to 12 years old. We meet two days of every month during the school year in the Donovan Center at 3:30pm.
Some girls will be focused on Wreath I of the Little Flowers Girls’ Club program. Wreath I includes the virtues of Faith, Hope, Love of God, Love of Neighbor, Obedience, Piety, Humility, Industry, and Truthfulness.
Other girls who have been Flowers before will be starting Wreath III. Wreath II includes new virtues not previously studied in Little Flowers.
We will also learn about amazing Saints that were great examples of these virtues, for example, St. Joan of Arc for Obedience. As they learn and grow in their faith and virtues, the girls will earn patches to add to their Little Flowers Sashes. Girls will also do crafts, pray, sing songs, and form friendships.
Our club fee is $65 for the year, which includes a sash (for new members), a members guidebook, patches as they earn them, and craft supplies. We would love for the girls to have support from family members. We welcome volunteers during our meetings. We understand if siblings need to come, we ask that you bring something to occupy them such as a quiet toy or a coloring book, so we may stay focused while we have our meeting.
