I am Deacon Mark Miller. I was ordained in the Archdiocese of San Antonio in June of 1987 and minister here at OLG. I was born and raised in Charlotte Michigan [about 20 miles south of Lansing]. I enlisted in the Air Force in 1970 and retired as an E-8 in 1995. I started my second career as a high school English teacher in 1997 at Noblesville. I retired from there in 2012. My ministry at OLG began in 1998 and continued for 17 years. I was side-lined for a while and returned to ministry in 2017. I have a particular interest in jail ministry and Catholic Social Doctrine. How to leverage technology as part of the parish formation programs is also a special concern. I hold a Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in secondary English education from IUPUI. I’m currently working on a Master’s degree in Pastoral Studies at the Pontifical College Josephinum. Kathy and I have been married for 44 years. Our son, Michael, is a Major in the Air Force. Audrey, the middle child is a production control manager with Navistar in Springfield Ohio, and my youngest, Erica, is a major in the Army. Our home is under the direct supervision of our two Labradoodles, Maggie and Sophie.
