Evelyn Burton, Director of Faith Formation, is honored to serve the parish community of Our Lady of Grace. After graduating from Purdue’s Krannert School of Management, she went to work in the corporate arena. However, she felt a strong call to ministry. As a new mom, she was part of a mom’s prayer group that eventually led her to the Ecclesial Lay Ministry Program, because she wanted to be a better mom and be able to share her faith with her children. Evelyn earned her Ecclesial Lay Ministry Certificate from the diocese and then a graduate degree in pastoral theology from St. Mary-of-the-Woods. She spent thirteen years in the Office of Catechesis for the Diocese of Lafayette-in-Indiana where she had the opportunity to coordinate adult ministry, youth ministry, religious education, and lay ministry formation. This experience provided her with insights she hopes to transfer to Our Lady of Grace as she works with the entire formation staff.
Evelyn is married to Bob and has two amazing sons, Alan and Daniel. While she loves being a mom, she is passionate about adult formation and the opportunities to work with the beautiful, spirit-filled community of Our Lady of Grace.
